Beginning of the week report and Tuesday's workout (WEEK 5)

Alright so it is now WEEK five of me clean eating (with cheats in between) and working out at least 3 times a week, and I cannot believe I have gone this far without wanting to give up altogether.

Here's WHY (because nothing's coincidental) Well, I'm still shocked that I've lost so much weight, without realizing it. My goal weight has always been 130 pounds, and although I stayed positive, such a goal seemed impossible to me and so far away. But at 138 pounds, I am now CLOSER THAN EVER to achieving that goal, and that to me is amazing! I never thought I could do it and now look. Losing so much, and getting so far is only motivating me to keep doing what I'm doing which is eating better AND working out.

Side note: Although it takes me time to prepare mentally and get up and actually start my workouts, while I'm doing them I actually enjoy working out and getting my body active. It's not always easy, but I recover quickly. My stamina and endurance has improved tremendously thanks to my better eating habits, and maybe all the green tea I've been drinking. I LOVE finishing a good, enduring workout.

Quick confession, this weekend I went out, and of course after the party we were hungry so I had to resort to eating McDonald's (which I did not complain about) I went ham and got a burger, and like 10 wings (had some coca cola and a chicken nugget) Well Clearly Mickey D's puts addictive substances in their foods because lo and behold, guess who was craving the SAME meal TODAY? Of course me (craving it as we speak) 

So I had a burger, 4 chicken nuggets, some wings, and some coca cola and a few fries. :( Such a fail. (And may I just say, this is really odd, because in the USA, I couldn't care less about Mcdonald's, and I hadn't had nuggets in YEARS, I have no idea why I'm craving it all of a sudden) But I'm not discouraged, it's only up from here. I know I probably caught a few calories, but I have to keep working out and eating right anyway so whatevs. STILL not an excuse to keep going though because I don't want to reverse all my hard work.  What I'm trying to say is it's okay to fall off the train once or twice, as long as you get back up on it quick to catch it and KEEP ON GOING (I literally just made that up, but you get the point)

All in all, I am SO proud of myself for going this far. I feel like a new person (kinda) because I have more energy, more determination, I ENJOY working out (old Cristina would have never said such monstrosities, haha) I enjoy eating clean, and the way it makes me feel.

Also quick little experiment, after eating MD I did feel a difference in how I was working out.

And yes about working out today...It is now Tuesday, I didn't workout Sat, Sun OR Monday, like I was supposed to. I was still determined to do some tonight, but instead I started a bunch of workout videos, and gave up on them quickly. The reason for that is 1 I hadn't carefully planned my workout the night before (IMPORTANT) and I just wasn't feeling the workout vids I picked. Instead I did a fun quick dance workout by Scola Dondo

I must say, I love dance workout to REAL songs (not the fake ones like in most workout videos) I wish more people would do some, with some REAL FAT BURNING WORKOUT MOVES. Found a new one today 


Gonna try this one out when I don't feel like doing a real workout.

All in all I wasn't impressed by my workout tonight, gotta do better tomorrow. Also I ate horribly. For dinner I had two of my protein cookies, some water and I finished off the nasty MD burger and two wings...YUCK.

Friday's workout (Week 4)

Today I did a late workout:

I did this last.

And this one first:


I ate One chocolate croissant, more than half a quiche, drank one half of a juice cart.

For lunch I had Pasta and Crab in red sauce and some green beans.

For dinner  had...water and a cookie...

So today wasn't my healthiest of eating days, I definitely indulged and didn't eat balanced meals. Since I wasn't hungry for dinner and I worked out, I figure it equalizes itself.

I'm writing this down because I want to keep record of my eating habits, especially on the days when I haven't eaten well.

Tomorrow I will post pictures of my progress as well for comparison.

Monday (week 4)

Today I wasn't going to workout, but my friend motivated me. Its good to workout and establish a "lose weight get it right/tight" plan with a friend that is as dedicated to working out and losing weight as you are. When you aren't motivated to do it, she motivates you, and vice versa.

We just went on a power walk, but we went far so I burnt off a few calories. Better than not doing anything huh.

Sunday's Workout (Week three)

Today's Workout (Saturday- Week 3) and weigh in.

I really liked today's workout, it's CARDIO, ABS, and BUTT, my favorite.

Me and my workout buddy decided we're going to do 3 days of this kind of Cardio, and on other days 10 mins of toning. 

Weigh In: 63 KG aka 138 pounds. I'm confused as to why this doesn't show on my body, but whatever.

Today's workout (Thursday)

Today my workout was a bit all over the place. I was supposed to go for a jog and do some abs toning exercise, but I didn't. I had a bunch of stuff to get done, and I started to work out at 10 because I wanted to do a little something at least. So I did the following:

GREAT and FUN abs and thighs exercise.

(Didn't finish this one, almost passed out. I hadn't eaten dinner yet that's why, but I ate two mangoes)

I haven't slept since yesterday.

I don't know why I had trouble falling asleep.

I decided not to go to sleep, because my whole day is going to be wasted and I have things to get done today. 

I was hungry and craving a chocolate croissant. Since I only keep fruits and other healthy items in my house, I had no choice but to eat...fruits! And BOY did I not regret my choice! 

I had TWO mangoes and a Guava, which I had some trouble eating...because it was my first time eating an actual guava...turns out you eat it like an apple, it's delicious and filling.

And voila, my breakfast was delicious, I'm happy I didn't give in, I feel full and energized and it satisfied my sweet tooth! ^^

Breakthrough/ realization

I've been having so many of these, but today, I was thinking about the reason I really started working out:

I started working out, because when I weighed myself, I realized my weight came down to143 pounds. One-hundred and Forty-three pounds is the lowest weight I've ever been at, however, IT DIDN'T SHOW ON MY BODY. That made something click in my head automatically. We always look for the easiest, fastest ways to lose weight, and we always think that the number on the scale matters, but it doesn't. I had read this many, many times and I did understand how it would make sense, but it didn't fall through in my head because I had never experienced it for myself. 
I'm not gonna lie, when I saw the number on the scale, I was in clear disbelief, one because looking in the mirror I thought I had gained weight instead of losing so much, two, because I was eating for my health rather than to lose weight I didn't even realize weight loss was happening. As I saw that the number on the scale didn't reflect what I saw in the mirror, it hit me that it didn't matter how much weight I'd lose, I wouldn't get the tight, toned body I've always wanted without putting in the physical work.

I was motivated beyond anything to do workout, I felt this sudden urge to get active, and I just got up and decided to do it. It helped that my friend also wanted to join in on the workout/eat right fun. When I first started working out it was different this time because I had been eating better, so the workouts felt easier, and I had tons of energy! So I was even more motivated to do what I had to do. 

And that's how it all started to come together ^^

Oh my god, I completely forgot to mention my 10 pound loss! I hadn't even realized I lost weight because it doesn't show much on my body, but how crazy is that!? 

It's crazy to me because I wasn't planning on losing anything at all since I wasn't yet working out. It just happened because my stomach started acting up so I gave up on dairy, sweets, bad fats and all the things that would make my stomach hurt. I was so focused on getting better and stopping the pain I didn't realize I lost weight! 

I started out this year at 
 155 pounds and I'm currently at 143. I HAVE NEVER BEEN THIS LOW.

Anywho I've found a bunch of workouts for this Tuesday (of course I'll be picking one at a time)
